Interplast does not share any information collected on this site. Our donation/registration forms may require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, address and similar information. We will use personal information collected from you to send you information, such as Interplast newsletters, fundraising opportunities and information on our programs. If you elect not to receive such materials, we will not send them to you.
Donors can indicate if they prefer to keep their donations anonymous by clicking the “I prefer to remain anonymous” button on the donate page. Interplast does not rent, sell or share our lists. In the event that this should this change, Interplast will respect all requests on the part of donors not to share their information. Should you wish to protect your name from being sold or shared in the event we change our policy in the future, please indicate this in an email to donation@interplast.org.
Credit Card Information Security
The privacy and security of our donors’ data are critical to Interplast. In choosing an appropriate database and donation system, Interplast paid particular attention to securing donor financial information to ensure that we offer the highest level of protection to our donors.
When our donation form asks donors to enter sensitive information, that information is encrypted and protected. When data is sent from Point A to Point B, every computer in between these points has an opportunity to look at what is being sent. Interplast’s donation system employs a Server Digital Certificate and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol to encrypt all data traffic. SSL technology is the standard used by online banking, stock brokerages, and retailers for securing their online transactions.
